Served by a community of Carmelite Friars

English Martyrs Church in Walworth is a welcoming Catholic Parish within the Archdiocese of Southwark ministered to by a Community of Carmelite Friars.

We are in the South London inner-city, south-east of Elephant and Castle between the Aylesbury Estate and Heygate Estate. Our Parish community is made up of people from more than 50 countries, and dubbed a "Rainbow Nation Parish" by Pat Gaffney, General Secretary of Pax Christi in the UK. This mix is reflected in our liturgies which are always prayerful, colourful and lively.

Children are always welcome and we have a range of activites in which children are invited to get involved. A children's newsletter based on the Sunday Gospel is available each week. This has a picture to colour along with a wordsearch, crossword and similar activites for all ages. Children from the age of 7 years are invited to become altar servers.
